It is indicated to improve the adaptation of animals to their diets, improving their immune and digestive system, which will improve productivity. It promotes growth and feed conversion, improves the laying rate, egg mass and conversion rate, decreases the percentage of broken eggs and shell cracking.
In animal production, different studies have shown that the use of butyrate as a feed additive is very useful because it allows the control of pathogens, increases the digestibility of the ration, the growth rate, promotes the production of cytokines and reduces oxidative stress, even in very low doses.
Caprylic acid is often used in natural therapies to combat the excessive growth of yeasts and fungi in the intestine.
The fungicidal effect of caprylic acid has been shown in both in vitro and in vivo studies. In the pH zone between 2.5 and 8.5, it has been proven that caprylic acid has a strong fungicidal effect in yeasts.
