Tiamulin is a semisynthetic antibiotic derived from pleuromutilin.
For poultry and pigs.
Porcine: For treating swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and complicated by Fusobacterium spp. and Bacteroids spp.
Poultry: For reducing the severity of mycoplasma disease.
Susceptible Microorganisms:
Brachyspira: Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, B. pilosicoli.
Mycoplasma: Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis, M. hyosynoviae, Ureaplasma spp., M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae, and M. meleagridis.
Gram-positive: Staphylococcus spp., streptococcus spp., Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
Gram-negative: Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella penumoniae, Actinobacillus (Haemophylus) spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum,Bacteroides spp., Campylobacter coli, Lawsonia intracellularis.

For oral administration, served in the drinking water.
Poultry: 30 to 60 mg per kg of live weight for 3 to 5 consecutive days.
Porcine: 4 to 25 mg per kg of live weight for up to 10 consecutive days.
