Indicated for poultry, pigs, cattle (calves), horses.
The indications of sulfonamides are broad due to the wide spectrum of their activity, covering infectious diseases of the digestive and respiratory tracts, septicemia, secondary infections, peritonitis, mastitis, and metritis. Specifically, they are particularly indicated for the following diseases:
Birds: Chronic respiratory disease, avian infectious coryza, salmonellosis, coccidiosis, pasteurellosis, colibacillosis, avian cholera.
Swine: pneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, colibacillosis.
Cattle: foot rot, coccidiosis, calf diphtheria, polyarthritis, respiratory infections.
Horses: infections of the upper respiratory tract, polyarthritis in foals.
Sulfas, frequently combined with Trimethoprim, known as potentiated sulfas, have a broad spectrum of activity, excellent tissue distribution and good pharmacokinetic properties.
RANGE OF ACTION: Actinomyces spp., Actinobacillus spp., Aeromonas spp., Bordetella spp., Brucella sp., Corynebacterium spp., E. coli, Fusiformis spp., Klebsiella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Moraxella bovis, Mycobacterium spp., Neisseria spp., Nocardia spp., Pasteurella spp., Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Staphylococcus spp. (including penicillase + strains), Streptococcus spp. (including enterococci and diplococci), Campylobacter spp.
Orally. Dissolved in water or mixed with food.
Treatment for 3 – 5 consecutive days.
Poultry, pigs, cattle (calves), horses: 30 mg of MONOTOPRIM (Equivalent to 5 mg of Trimethoprim and 25 mg of Sulfamonomethoxine) per kg of live weight.
Dilute the product in the drinking water or mix with the food according to the dose and the number of animals to be treated.
The doses are adjusted according to the criteria of the Veterinary Doctor.
Dissolved in water:
Take 50 g of MONOTOPRIM (equivalent to 40 g of sodium Sulfamonomethoxine and 8 g of Trimethoprim) add to 200 L of drinking water, shake to homogenize and place in the drinkers.
Renew the drinking water daily.
With 50 g the equivalent of 1666 kg of live weight can be treated.
Mixed in the feed:
Administer 300 - 500 g per ton of feed.
Renew the food daily.
Meat birds: 5 days
Cattle (calves): 10 days
Pigs: 10 days.
Horses: 14 days
Do not administer to animals intended for the production of milk and eggs for human consumption.
Do not administer in horses intended for human consumption.
Store in a cool place between 15° and 30° C
Protect from light and moisture.
Keep out of the reach of children.
